How Reiki Works
- Energy Healing: Practitioners use their hands to channel energy into the patient, often without physically touching them. They believe this energy can help break down energy blocks and balance the mind, body, and spirit.
- Hand Positions: Practitioners typically use a series of hand positions, held for several minutes each, to target different parts of the body. These positions may be on or just above the body.
- Sessions: A typical Reiki session lasts between 30 to 60 minutes. The patient usually lies down fully clothed and relaxes while the practitioner works. There is a series of different hand positions and the length of tie that the practioner leaves heir hands in each position is determined by the flow of energy through their hands at each point.
